The International Network & Community of Writers Society (Incwriters) was founded in 2004, created initially as Inc. in 2002-2003, Incwriters has grown into the one stop website for Promoters, Agents, Publishers, Readers and Writers. We are committed to creation of networks, the protection of Literature and to this end Incwriters has several imprints and free downloads. We help promote individuals and organisations not involved in vanity publishing, visit venues and festivals to give talks on Publishing and Writing. You can join us by sending us your email and receive free updates about the website. Take time to read our constitution or just join the debate in our forum. Incwriters would like thank its founders and patrons.

The International Network & Community of Writers Society (Incwriters) Patrons are the novelist Janice Galloway, the poets, Esther Morgan and Clare Pollard.

Inc. was created in 2003 by Andrew Oldham. Incwriters and The Incwriters Society was founded by Andrew Oldham, William Park, Bixby Monk and Ian Parks in 2004. The imprint Incorporating Writing was launched in Autumn 2003 by Bixby Monk, Samantha Morton and Andrew Oldham. The publication Red Ink was founded by Andrew Oldham, Peter Lewin and Ian Parks in 2006. Red Publishing was created in 2007 by Andrew Oldham to publish live audio readings.

NEW PATRON

From 2007, the Poet, Clare Pollard, is a Patron of Incwriters.

Clare Pollard was born in 1978, and studied at Cambridge University. She was the recipient of an Eric Gregory Award in 2000.  Her first poetry collection, The Heavy-Petting Zoo, was published in 2000 and her second collection, Bedtime, was published in 2002. She has also presented two television documentaries, one for Channel 4 with verse commentary. Her first play, The Weather (2004), was staged at the Royal Court in Autumn 2004.

Clare Pollard lives in London. Her latest collection of poetry is Look, Clare! Look! (2005).

On becoming Patron of Incwriters, she said, “Whilst other sites seem to cater to comfortable niches, Incwriters is a network with serious breadth and ambition. The magazine, Incorporating Writing, is always surprising and challenging – an essential space for engagement with every aspect of our literary culture”
