Okay, we all have had experience of Literature from being told to appreciate poetry at secondary school to sitting in exams rehashing the War Poets. Yet, there are many unsung heroes out in the world of publishing and Incwriters is now stepping up to the bar and asking, what do you have to say about the world of writing and publishing? So, we are looking for guest bloggers, publishers, writers and wonderful readers who want a voice, who have something to say. Comments brought across from old blog, from Alan Summers:
It’ll be a long list!
A hero of mine is ‘Salt Publishing’ who sometimes don’t have enough denari to buy themselves breakfast some days but publish a heck of a lot of short story anthologies and poetry collections and anthologies.
There’s the online ‘Birmingham Words’, started by Will Buckingham, now taken up by National Academy of Writing.
There’s my very own With Words which promotes the love of words through events and workshops, and we often use haiku (and renga) to get through people’s unease with the written word.
There are probably thousands of us, whether publishers, writers, or readers, who despite the recession, and other setbacks champion literature.
And you of course!
