Ian Daley from Route has just shared this image with us. It proves how hard independent publishers work. Remember this is not ALL the submissions Route would have received for possible inclusion in Route 22. These are just the shortlisted stories. There’s 340 short stories buckling that garden table.
So, next time you moan about editors and publishers taking ages to read your work, look at this picture and remember, you only submited one story, these guys have to read and edit thousands of stories. So be patient!
